Our AML and Verification Policy
This page sets out, in plain terms, how we verify your identity, monitor transactions and meet the anti-money-laundering obligations of our Curaçao licence (8048/JAZ2017-042).
Our AML Commitment
We operate under licence 8048/JAZ2017-042 issued by the Curaçao licensing authority, and that licence binds us to strict anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism-financing rules. Our compliance team, led by the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), applies these rules to every account on our platform.
In practice this means we must know who our players are, where their funds come from, and that deposits and withdrawals are consistent with lawful personal entertainment. We do not accept funds from third parties, and we do not process transactions that raise unresolved suspicion. These obligations apply equally to AUD deposits via PayID and cards and to crypto transactions in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether and Dogecoin.
When We Verify You
Verification triggers
Verification at Mrbet Casino happens in three stages. At registration we collect and confirm your basic details (name, date of birth, address, contact information). Before your first withdrawal we complete full identity verification. Additional checks are triggered at set thresholds and whenever monitoring flags unusual activity.
- Registration: age confirmation (18+) and basic data validation
- First withdrawal: full KYC, all three document types required
- Cumulative transaction thresholds set by our AML policy
- Any deposit or withdrawal pattern flagged by our monitoring systems
Documents we ask for
For full verification we need three categories of documents. Government-issued photo ID: passport, national ID card or driving licence. Proof of address: a utility bill, bank statement or similar dated no more than 3 months old. Proof of payment method ownership: a card photo showing the first six and last four digits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name or account details.
Step by Step Verification
We keep the process short. Our compliance officers review submissions within 72 hours of upload, and most straightforward cases clear faster. You upload documents through the secure verification section of your account, so nothing is sent by email or chat.
Every file you submit is stored on encrypted servers with access restricted to trained compliance staff. We never share your documents with third parties except where disclosure is required by law or by our licensing authority. Originals are not required; clear photos or scans are accepted.
- 1. Open the verification tab in your account settings
- 2. Upload your photo ID (all four corners visible, unexpired)
- 3. Upload proof of address dated within the last 3 months
- 4. Upload proof of ownership for your deposit method
- 5. Our team reviews within 72 hours and notifies you by email
Source of Funds Requests
For most players, standard verification is all we ever need. Where deposits are large relative to the profile we hold, or where monitoring identifies complex or unusual patterns, our licence obliges us to ask for evidence of the origin of the funds you play with.
Acceptable evidence typically includes recent payslips, bank statements showing regular income, a tax return, or documentation of a specific event such as a property sale or inheritance. We ask only for what our obligations require, we explain each request in writing, and a source-of-funds review does not imply any accusation against you. Until the review closes, withdrawals may be paused.
How We Monitor Transactions
Our systems screen every deposit and withdrawal against your verified profile, your historical play and the risk rules in our AML programme. We apply a same-method rule: funds are returned to the payment method they came from, in proportion to the deposits made, which prevents funds passing through our platform between unrelated accounts.
Withdrawal limits on our platform are 16,000 AUD per day, 48,000 AUD per week and 96,000 AUD per month. E-wallet and crypto withdrawals are processed within 0 to 1 hours; card and bank transfer withdrawals take 1 to 5 business days. We charge no fees, though your payment provider may.
| Method type | Processing time | Our fee |
|---|---|---|
| E-wallets (Skrill, MiFinity, Jeton) and crypto | 0-1 hours | None |
| Visa / Mastercard | 1-5 business days | None |
| Bank transfer | 1-5 business days | None |
If Verification Fails
If a document is rejected, we tell you the reason and give you the chance to submit a clearer or corrected version. If you do not provide the requested documents, or if verification cannot be completed, we are required to restrict your account.
Restrictions work in stages. Deposits and gameplay are suspended first; any withdrawal already requested is held until the issue is resolved. In confirmed cases of identity fraud, third-party funding, or use of our platform for laundering, we close the account, forfeit winnings where the licence permits, and file a report with the relevant authority. Withdrawals are only ever released to an account that belongs to the verified player. If you believe a rejection was made in error, contact our compliance team at [email protected] and we will review the decision.
How Long We Keep Records
Our licence requires us to retain verification records and transaction logs for a minimum of five years after the end of the business relationship. Retention exists for one reason: regulators and financial authorities must be able to audit our AML controls. After the retention period expires, your documents are securely destroyed. You may request deletion of marketing data at any time, but verification records cannot be deleted while the statutory period runs.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to verify before I can deposit at Mrbet Casino?
No. You can register, deposit and play with basic account details. Full verification is required before your first withdrawal, or earlier if our monitoring triggers a check.
How long does verification take?
Up to 72 hours from document upload. Most clear cases are reviewed faster, and you will be notified by email either way.
Why must withdrawals go back to my deposit method?
Our same-method rule is an anti-money-laundering requirement. Funds return in proportion to the deposits made, which stops our platform being used to move money between accounts.
What counts as proof of address?
A utility bill, bank statement or official government correspondence in your name, dated no more than 3 months before submission.
What happens to my documents after verification?
They are stored on encrypted servers with restricted access and retained for at least five years as our licence requires, then securely destroyed.
